Listen up, doc
Today it’s me who will talk
I’ve had lots of time to think
Staring at the waiting-room clock
For one who went to med school
You sure seem easy to fool
At least I know I’m Pharma’s pawn
You can’t see that you’re their tool
I gotta say you’re quite pushy for a healer
Pushing drugs harder than a drug dealer
Here all day we might be
If I was to describe the
Awful side effects from
All the drugs that you prescribe me
Every time I see you, you write me more and more
Then you rush me right out the door
Doc, what’s the deal?
The more you do, the worse I feel
I’d hate to see the way you hurt
If this is how you heal
An apple a day
It might keep you away
But you can’t treat me tomorrow
If you cure me today
We’ve got a situation
I’m out of medication
Say, doc, you look stressed
Like you need a vacation
But back to my pills
Don’t forget the refills
You’re once-noble profession’s
Now just about dollar bills
Only treat, never cure
My favorite dealer, for sure
Cause the drugs I get from you
Always one-hundred percent pure
Aside from maybe weed
You got all that I need
You must be a chef
Cause all of my addictions you feed
Every time I see you, you write me more and more
Then you rush me right out the door
Doc, what’s the deal?
The more you do, the worse I feel
I’d hate to see the way you hurt
If this is how you heal
An apple a day
It might keep you away
But you can’t treat me tomorrow
If you cure me today
Got a weird side-effect
Two days straight I’ve been erect
The pills you gave me are to blame
For this problem, I suspect
While we’re on the matter
I feel madder than a hatter
Since I started treatment
My butt’s been getting fatter
And what about nutrition?
You know, for a physician
You really don’t seem to be
Helping my condition
What’s an oath neglected
Doc, you’ve been infected
To think that once upon a time
You’re someone I respected
Every time I see you, you write me more and more
Then you rush me right out the door
Doc, what’s the deal?
The more you do, the worse I feel
I’d hate to see the way you hurt
If this is how you heal
An apple a day
It might keep you away
But you can’t treat me tomorrow
If you cure me today
Doc, what’s the deal?
The more you do, the worse I feel
I’d hate to see the way you hurt
If this is how you heal
An apple a day
It might keep you away
But you can’t bill me tomorrow
If you heal me today
