Tanning In The Moonlight deals with themes of loss, despair, sickness and chronic illness, regret, grief, and sadness. This EP is a lot more personal than almost anything else Ellis Michaels has released.

And it may be the last music he ever puts out. After pouring his heart and soul into making Tanning In The Moonlight, Ellis is taking a break from recording music. But he’ll still be giving lessons and, of course, playing for fun. But this very well might be his last recording.
