I’m A Dreamer
I’m too idealistic
Artificially optimistic
I prefer to keep things overcomplicated rather than simplistic
I’m always open to a blown mind
To restore my faith in mankind
While I find I haven’t left all hope behind it sure has declined
What can I say: I like to dream
I like to float downstream
Don’t be so nihilistic
Try not to become a statistic
It’s easy to get stuck like you’re trying to walk through a pool of Bisquick
If you only wanted one word
It would undoubtedly be absurd
Cause lines get blurred and words get slurred, you ask for half but only get a third
What can I say: I like to dream
Floating away downstream
I’m too idealistic
Not my best characteristic
Maybe opportunity would come knocking on my door if I was more opportunistic
Reality, I often don’t feel
What’s real is often less than ideal
This whole ordeal, the more you peel away the layers the less you actually reveal
What can I say: I like to dream
I like to float downstream
What can I say: I like to dream
Floating away downstream
