Content Lyrics

I never wanted to create content
That was never ever my intent
But if i wanna play guitar and i wanna pay the rent
It’s either grind away or move into a tent

I really wanna become well known
But I also mostly wanna be left alone
I’m okay with fame as long as it’s just from my phone
But beware out there you’re on your own

I want the money and admiration
Some compensation for my creation

The game is rigged: pay to play
Day after day, posting away
Into the void night after night
I just wanna feel the warmth of the limelight
Alright

I always thought that fame would find me
I know it hasn’t yet, don’t remind me
The only thing it takes to break out is virality
Sure looks a lot simpler than it seems to be

I want it all or I want nothing
If I’m not the frontman then I don’t sing
The only sound I wanna hear come from you is ka-ching
Crypto’s fine but cash is still king

I want the money and admiration
Some compensation for my creation
Or at least consideration
So I may get away from all this frustration

The game is rigged: pay to play
Day after day, posting away
Into the void night after night
I just wanna feel the warmth of the limelight
Alright
I still might

I’m getting sick of making content
Doing so is only fueling my discontent
And it doesn’t really help that I haven’t made a cent
How am I supposed to pay the rent?
I can’t even afford to buy a tent
I am burnt out one-hundred percent
That’s it; I am done creating content
